No one can accuse new Tennessee Titans general manager Ruston Webster of not taking care of business.
Webster has re-signed his second free agent in as many days on Friday, agreeing to terms with free-agent-to-be wide receiver Lavelle Hawkins, according to TitanInsider.com.
Hawkins played sparingly in his first three seasons with the Titans, except for special teams but blossomed in 2011 after Kenny Britt suffered a season-ending knee injury in September. He became the team's third receiver and posted a career-high 47 receptions after having just 19 catches in his first three years combined.
Hawkins' signing comes one day after the Titans had agreed to a deal with tackle Mike Otto. The team is also in negotiations with defensive lineman Jason Jones and at least three other free agents of its own. Tennessee is also scheduled to host former Raiders cornerback Stanford Routt on Tuesday.
