Minnesota Timberwolves swingman Chase Budinger will be sidelined for three to four months to recover from left-knee surgery. Dr. James Andrews performed the surgery Tuesday to repair a torn lateral meniscus, three days after Budinger was hurt against the Chicago Bulls. Minnesota is already without Kevin Love, Ricky Rubio, JJ Barea and Brandon Roy due to injuries. In his first season in Minnesota, Budinger is averaging 11.8 points per game.
