Tim Duncan records double-double, Spurs easily get past Heat

Tim Duncan earned his 24th double-double this season, scoring 23 points and registering 11 rebounds, to help the San Antonio Spurs crush the Miami Heat, 111-87. The Spurs had no trouble knocking down shots in this game, finishing 40-79 (50.6%). San Antonio (45-16) has now won five straight.

Duncan shot 9-13 and went 5-5 from the free throw line, in a solid performance. Boris Diaw also chipped in for San Antonio, finishing with 16 points and 8 rebounds. On 10-16 shooting, Chris Bosh put up 24 points for Miami in the loss. He also registered 7 rebounds. LeBron James added 19 points and 8 rebounds, Dwyane Wade finished with 16 points and 7 assists, and Michael Beasley put up 11 points and 6 rebounds.

This drops Miami (43-16) to 1-1 versus San Antonio on the season.

Coming up, the Spurs square off against the Orlando Magic, who are 19-44 on the season. The Heat go up against the Chicago Bulls, currently sitting at 34-27 this year. The Spurs have a 1-0 record against Orlando this season. The Heat have won two of their last three games against Chicago.
