Club Tijuana hosts a Copa Libertadores game for the first time on Tuesday night when Xolos welcome Bolivian side San Jose to Estadio Caliente in a game the club's players are calling extremely important to their chances. Follow GOAL.COM on Twitter
“It’s very important to us to win against San Jose,” said attacker Alfredo "Chango" Moreno. “It’s important for us to make our home stadium count and make the victory in Colombia stand up that way.”
Tijuana went on the road two weeks ago to surprise multiple-time Copa Libertadores participant and Colombian champion Millonarios. As a result, Tijuana is atop Group 5 with three points. San Jose and defending champion Corinthians each have one.
“We have to concentrate the whole game, because the loss of focus is what makes the difference at this level,” Moreno said.
Tijuana will received a boost in the form of Mexico interntional attacker Fernando Arce, who had been out this weekend with illness. He is slated to return for Tuesday's match.
