Thunder look to home court for turnaround
If the Thunder are going to advance to the NBA Finals, they're going to need to win four of the next five games. Considering the San Antonio Spurs have won 20 straight and last lost on April 11, the odds of that happening don't appear too good.
But the Thunder's next two games are at Chesapeake Arena, which has become one of the NBA's most intimidating venues. Oklahoma City is 31-7 at home this season, including 5-0 during the playoffs.
Game 3 is Thursday night. Do the Thunder players believe they can come back?
"It's not so much about our confidence for Game 3, it's based on finishing this game," Derek Fisher said. "It's just putting ourselves where we can continue to make adjustments, play hard and play together. I think we can beat this team.
"They've done what they're capable of doing and what a No. 1 seed should be able to do, and that's win games on their home court. And now for us, we've put ourselves in a position where we need to go home and win Game 3 and turn this series around."
Just 14 teams in league history have overcome 2-0 deficits to win series.
"First, we've got to worry about Game 3, regardless of what's going on," Russell Westbrook said. "With this last game or the next game, we've got to worry about Game 3 and come in with the same mindset and try to get a win."
