As a huge WWE wrestling fan I fully understand that not all of us can have our way at the same time. Certain wrestling fans like certain wrestlers and others might disagree. It is the job of WWE officials and staff to ascertain which wrestlers are in the majority with fans at a given time and to properly push them. It is also, however, their jobs to ensure that new stars are created. This can sometimes mean that wrestlers outside that majority are pushed over other deserving talent to further the company vision. Still, the fans are the major driving force behind a successful wrestling program. Right now, the WWE is missing the boat on at least three wrestlers in my view.
Dolph Ziggler
Ziggler is one of the most puzzling guys to me. He is so over with every crowd, yet the WWE simply refuses to push him beyond the U.S. Title level. Lately, they have made him essentially job to the Funkasaurus, Brodus Clay. Having him lose in such a squash fashion is absolutely killing his credibility as a rising main event heel. The guy works a crowd beautifully and is as good as most in the ring. He works hard and does his job. Somehow he still finds himself stuck in the same gig with Vickie Guerrero. Wake up WWE bookers and get this guy in the main event title scene.
The Big Show
Big Show has seen his better days in the ring, but he is still a great draw for the crowd. Not only that, Big Show is entering the twilight of his career. The WWE now has a very small window to finally give the Big Show a huge heel run to close out his career. The Big Show could do a "Mark Henry House of Pain" type of heel run that would work in spades. He deserves to have one last title run where he holds the belt beyond one PPV event.
The Miz
The Miz certainly has his share of haters and he likes it that way. The Miz is one of those guys that you simply have to appreciate if for no other reason; he has excelled despite having inherent odds stacked against him. The guy came in as a reality show cast off and took the WWE Universe by the throat. You have to credit him for that. Now, he is essentially wasting away and off of WWE programming half the time. The Miz is awesome, and deserves better than that.
*Southern is a huge WWE fan that believes they could improve a great deal by looking back at the old NWA ways of doing things.
