Three MLB minor-leaguers suspended

Philadelphia Phillies right-handed pitcher Gustavo Armas, Detroit Tigers shortstop Moises Bello and Chicago White Sox catcher Nicholas Parent were each suspended 50 games for violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Armas, on the roster of the Venezuelan Summer League Phillies, tested positive for a metabolite of Nandrolone.

Bello, on the roster of the Venezuelan Summer League Tigers, tested positive for a metabolite of Boldenone.

Parent, on the roster of the rookie-level Bristol White Sox of the Appalachian League, tested positive for metabolites of Stanozolol.

All three suspensions took effect immediately Thursday.
