Trying to find the right good guys and bad guys to put together in the ring has always been the focus of professional wrestling. If you get it right, then you end up with fantastic ratings and a product that everyone wants to watch. When you get it wrong, people simply tune out and watch something else. Lately, the WWE has been getting it right most of the time. Although I am greatly enjoying the WWE product at the moment, there are still several feuds I would love to see happen. Here are three of my potential favorites if WWE would implement them:
Justin Gabriel versus Kofi Kingston
Both of these guys have suffered primarily from poor booking, but Gabriel in particular is being vastly underutilized. Gabriel is among the best workers in the company in my view and he proved it recently on Monday Night Raw when he took Antonio Cesaro to the limit. The key to this feud between two high flyers would be flipping Kofi Kingston over to the dark side. Imagine Kofi as a bad guy with the Intercontinental Title and Gabriel being a solid face underdog. The matches would be epic if Kingston could pull off the strong heel role.
Wade Barrett versus Sheamus
Barrett and Sheamus have been fighting each week on Raw, but I am talking about a full scale war. These two have perfect chemistry together in the ring and they could put on a massive program. In fact, their matches the last two weeks have shown that Barrett would have been the better choice for Sheamus at Hell in a Cell. One thing is clear, however. These two can feud without any belt and it will still be awesome. Perhaps that is the plan moving forward while Ziggler makes his championship run. We shall see.
Cody Rhodes and The Miz
Heel versus heel feuds do not work very often, but these two could possibly be the exception. I am enjoying Rhodes pairing up with Damien Sandow at the moment for tag team action, but man would I love to see him go up against Miz for his Intercontinental Championship. This feud has been hinted at several times but always seems to get cancelled. Perhaps they will go through with it down the road. The two have awesome chemistry together in the ring.
*Southern is a huge WWE fan that believes they could improve a great deal by looking back at the old NWA ways of doing things.
