Isaiah Thomas finished with 33 points and notched 6 assists, while Rudy Gay added 32 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Sacramento Kings to a victory over the Denver Nuggets, 109-95. This is the second win in as many games for Sacramento (20-36) after beating Boston on Saturday.
Thomas shot 12-16 (4-5 from three-point range) and 5-6 from the free throw line, in a solid outing. DeMarcus Cousins contributed 27 points and 9 rebounds for Sacramento as well. Evan Fournier had a rare strong game off the bench for Denver in the loss, putting up 27 points on 8-11 shooting (4-5 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 7-8 from the free throw line. Kenneth Faried contributed 10 points and 6 rebounds.
This drops Denver (25-30) to 1-2 versus Sacramento on the season.
