Thaddeus Young: Probable Starter At Power Forward

Rotowire.com
Update: Young is currently expected begin the season at power forward and could keep the job the whole season, Comcast SportsNet reports. "I would say right now that would be something I would be leaning to," coach Doug Collins said regarding starting Young at power forward.

Recommendation: Young has been starting next to Lavoy Allen in the Sixers' last three preseason games, and Spencer Hawes' success in a bench role has forced Collins to reconsider his starting lineup when Andrew Bynum (knee) is healthy. His best fantasy season was in 2007-08 when he started 71 games and averaged 15.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and 0.8 three-pointers in 35 minutes per game. While Young may not get 35 MPG this season, even as a starter, the potential should be there for him to have more concrete value in deep leagues. We're still probably staying away from Young in most 10-team standard leagues due to the way the Sixers use him.
