LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) -- Jaye Crockett scored 17 points and pulled down eight rebounds to lead Texas Tech to a 94-64 victory against Texas-San Antonio Friday night.
Crockett, Tolbert, Ross and Onwuasor gave UTSA fits throughout the game, as Texas Tech had a 54 shooting percentage to UTSA's 37.7.
Phillip Jones led UTSA (1-6) with 12 points and nine rebounds. Kaj-Bjorn Sherman scored 11 points and Jordan Sims added 11 for the Roadrunners.
UTSA grabbed a lead on the opening possession, but fell behind quickly as Texas Tech broke an early 7-7 tie with a 30-13 run to close the first half. The Red Raiders led by as much as 35 points midway through the second half.
