Texas quarterback Case McCoy and linebackerJordan Hicks have been reinstated to the team after being suspended for the Alama Bowl for a violation of team rules, coach Mack Brown said in a statement issued Sunday.
"Obviously when you break team rules there's a certain amount of trust that has been broken, and that will be addressed with further discipline," Brown said in the statement "That discipline will be handled within the team."
McCoy and Hicks were sent home Dec. 28. That's the same day San Antonio Police said two Longhorn players were part of an investigation involving an alleged sexual assaul, although the players were not named.
Attorney Perry Minton said last week that no charges have been filed against Hicks or McCoy, according to CollegeFootballTalk.com.
McCoy was the Longhorns' backup quarterback for most of the season. He started one game in 2012 and five in 2011.
Hicks was sidelined for most of the 2012 season because of a groin injury.
