Missing A&M player found safe

Texas A&M wide receiver Thomas Johnson was found safe Thursday in Dallas according to university police and the player's mother.

Johnson, a freshman from Dallas Skyline High School, was found unharmed in Dallas, which is about a three-hour trip from College Station.

A press conference was scheduled for Thursday morning by Texas A&M's University Police Department.

"We are pleased and relieved to find T.J.," Aggies coach Kevin Sumlin said in a statement. "Our foremost concern is for the health and well-being of T.J. I would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and efforts in locating him."

The 18-year-old was first publicly reported missing Wednesday. He had last been seen leaving his residence in College Station at around 5 pm CT Monday afternoon, university police officials said.

Johnson is 5-foot-11, 180 pounds. He's been one of the team's more prolific receivers, having caught 30 passes for 339 yards and a touchdown in 10 games thus far this season, including two starting assignments.
