Texans sign Jerrell Powe

The Houston Texans signed former Kansas City Chiefs nose tackle Jerrell Powe.

The 6-foot-2, 331-pounder has played for the Chiefs for three seasons.

He has played in a dozen career games with eight tackles and one sack.

Powe is a former sixth-rounder from Ole Miss.

He was an All-Southeastern Conference second-team selection as a senior.

 

Growing up in Mississippi, Powe was a Parade All-American who played in the U.S. Army All-America Bowl.
