Texans RB Foster ruled out this week

Houston Texans running back Arian Foster missed practice on Friday and has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals because of back problems, Texans interim head coach Wade Phillips announced Friday.

Foster was forced to leave last week's game against Indianapolis because of the back issue, and he visited multiple back specialists this week, attempting to figure out what it wrong.

Phillips provided no timetable for Foster's possible return.

Foster rushed for 1,424 yards last season and has 542 yards in eight games this year.

Ben Tate, who has been playing despite four cracked ribs, becomes the Texans' primary running back in Foster's absence.
