Houston Texans nose tackle Shaun Cody underwent back surgery last week in Los Angeles, reports John McClain of the Houston Chronicle.
According to McClain, Cody underwent a procedure that involved "microscopic lumbar discectomy surgery for a lumbar disc herniation."
Cody, who played in 13 games (12 starts) for the Texans last season, is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent in March.
