With his side trailing 1-0, Boyd scored a close-range header off a rebound in the 40th minute to draw his side level. Just five minutes later, the 22-year-old scored another header from 6 yards out, this time from a right-wing cross. Genk would go on to equalize in the 60th minute to provide the final margin.
The goals were Boyd's eighth and ninth of the season in all competitions, as the striker puts together a solid sophomore campaign with the Austrian club.
After four games played, Boyd's side moved to three points in Group G with the draw. The Austrian side trails second-place Dynamo Kiev by four points and first-place Genk by five points with two group games left to play.
