At the tail-end of a grueling five-set battle at Wimbledon Thursday, Viktor Troicki did not take kindly to an umpire’s overruling.

Serving for the match up 5-3, Albert Ramos-Vinolas’ serve was initially called out, but chair umpire Damiano Torella determined that it grazed the lines of play and awarded him the point.

Then, the fireworks began.

“What! Look at it!,” Troicki screamed as he brought the ball over to Torella to show that it had no white-chalk marks on it. He then smashed the ball away with his racquet and told Torella, “You’re the worst umpire ever in the world.”

After his opponent closed out the match, Troicki’s tirade continued.

“Do you know what you did? You’re horrible! What are you doing here?” Troicki ranted as Torella prepared to leave his post.

The whole outburst, which you can view over at ESPN, is worth a watch in its entirety.

Had the match had been played on one of Wimbledon’s bigger courts and not Court 17, the conflict could have been avoided entirely. Hawk-Eye, an electronic line-calling system, gives players on Centre Court and Courts No. 1, 2, 3, 12 and 18 the ability to challenge an umpire’s ruling, but the technology has yet to spread to all of Wimbledon’s outdoor courts.
