COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Darian Stone rushed for 153 yards and a score and Stephen Bush ran for three touchdowns as Tennessee Tech shut out Austin Peay 34-0 on Saturday in the season finale for both teams.
Tennessee Tech (5-7, 2-6 Ohio Valley Conference) led just 7-0 at halftime on a 1-yard touchdown run by Bush in the first quarter. But the Golden Eagles scored touchdowns on four straight second-half possessions to rout Austin Peay (0-12, 0-8).
Bush ran for a 42-yard touchdown on Tennessee Tech's opening possession of the second half. The Golden Eagles then scored on a 1-yard touchdown run by Bush, a 9-yarder by Stone and a 2-yarder by Cody Forbes.
It marked the third time this season that Austin Peay has been shut out and the fifth that it's been held to three points or fewer.
