Temple defensive tackle Kamal Johnson was charged with kidnapping Saturday night in an incident that occurred last month involving his girlfriend, multiple media outlets reported. NBC 10 in Philadelphia reported Johnson was also charged with unlawful restraint, simple assault, false imprisonment, and reckless endangerment of another person. According to the report, police said Johnson pulled the woman out of her apartment and forced her down the stairs of his apartment. He allegedly punched her in the back and threw her onto the floor. The police report says she was held against her will for more than three hours. Johnson accused the woman of cheating on him. Johnson remains jailed in lieu of a $25,000 bond. Temple has not yet commented on the situation. Johnson started the first two games for the Owls and has played in three.
