Tearful Giggs coy on Manchester United future

Ryan Giggs promised that the good times would return to Manchester United following what is expected to be his final Old Trafford appearance but gave no indication of where his immediate future lies.

Delivering a speech to the home faithful in the aftermath of their 3-1 win over Hull City, the 40-year-old paid tribute to Nemanja Vidic, who leaves the club for Inter at the end of this season, before looking ahead after a difficult campaign.

The Welshman said: "I'd just like to say a big thank you from all the players and staff for your support this year.

"A special thanks to Nemanja, who's leaving us this year. He goes with all our best wishes and success in the coming years

"We know it's been tough this season and over the years we've been spoilt with the success we've had, but your support has never changed.

"I'm sure in the coming years we'll bring you more success.

"I'd like to say keep supporting us. You've seen a glimpse of the future tonight [in 18-year-old James Wilson's two goals] and that's what this club's about. We'll always give youth a chance and play attacking football. Keep supporting us and the good times will come back soon."

Manchester United currently sits in seventh place in the Premier League table.
