SAGINAW, Mich. (AP) -- A 20-year-old minor league hockey player had been disciplined by his team shortly before he disappeared.
Saginaw Spirit President Craig Goslin told The Saginaw News (http://bit.ly/1nGhyfs ) on Tuesday that center Terry Trafford was sent home ''for a violation of rules.'' Goslin says Trafford wasn't permanently cut from the team, but would ''have to change his behavior and make some adjustments.''
Trafford's name remained on the team roster Tuesday. The Toronto native has been with the Ontario Hockey League team for several seasons.
Trafford reportedly last was seen about 9:30 a.m. on March 3 at the Dow Event Center, the team's home arena. State police Lt. Brian Cole says he's considered a ''voluntary missing person.''
The Associated Press left messages seeking comment from Goslin.
