The Detroit defense had no answer for Tiquan Underwood as he led the way to a narrow victory for the Buccaneers over the Lions, 24-21, in Detroit.
Mike Glennon found the end zone for two scores against the Lions on 14 of 21 passing for 247 yards and no interceptions. On the Lions side, Matthew Stafford went 26 for 46 with 297 yards passing, three touchdowns and four picks.
Bobby Rainey had a tough game, rushing for 35 yards on 18 attempts. Underwood was a highlight, pulling in three balls for 108 yards with two touchdowns.
The Tampa Bay defense was the major reason for the victory, coming away with four interceptions while bringing back one interception for a touchdown. They brought down Stafford for two sacks.
Lions running back Reggie Bush provided some spark with 83 yards rushing and 17 receiving. Wide receiver Calvin Johnson also gave a strong effort with 115 receiving yards.
The Buccaneers head to Charlotte next week to face off with the Panthers (8-3) while the Lions will play host to the Packers (5-5).
