The Atlanta defense had no answer for Bobby Rainey as he led the way to, a good win for the Buccaneers over the Falcons, 41-28, at home.
Mike Glennon accounted for two touchdowns against the Falcons on 20 of 23 passing for 231 yards and no interceptions. On the Falcons side, Matt Ryan went 19 for 36 with 254 yards passing, two touchdowns and two picks.
Rainey was a key factor for the Buccaneers, running all over the Falcons for 163 yards on 30 carries with two touchdowns while adding two receptions for 4 yards and another score. In the second quarter, he took advantage of an opening for a 43-yard score. Vincent Jackson was a top receiver, catching 10 passes for 165 yards with a touchdown.
The Tampa Bay defense had a solid game, highlighted by allowing 152 yards rushing and 288 passing while taking back one interception for a touchdown. They brought down Ryan for three sacks.
Falcons wide receiver Harry Douglas had a big day with 134 receiving yards and one touchdown. Running back Antone Smith also had a good game with 88 rushing yards and one touchdown.
Next week, the Buccaneers travel to Detroit to face the Lions (6-4) while the Falcons are at home against the Saints (8-2).
