Gibson shot 7-15 and converted 6-7 from the free throw line. Other key players for Chicago included Jimmy Butler with 19 points and 7 rebounds, Mike Dunleavy with 16 points and 8 rebounds, and Joakim Noah with 10 points and 9 rebounds. Despite the loss, Monta Ellis put up 20 points for Dallas on 7-19 shooting (2-6 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 4-8 from the free throw line.
The Bulls combined an eFG% of 57.0% with 47.4% 3-point shooting. They are undefeated (6-0) this year when registering marks above 55% and 40% in those respective statistics. The Mavericks, on the other hand, are 2-7 when allowing opponents to hit those marks.
This defeat means an end to a four-game winning streak for Dallas, pushing their record to 36-24 for the year.
