Tabb helps MVSU rally past Alabama A&M 65-64

NORMAL, Ala. (AP) -- Demarquelle Tabb scored 16 points, including a three-point play with 12 seconds remaining, and had a steal at the buzzer to give Alabama A&M a 65-64 win over Mississippi Valley State on Saturday, snapping a four-game losing streak and splitting the season series.

Tabb, who also had 11 rebounds, helped the Bulldogs (8-13, 4-6 Southwestern Athletic Conference) overcome an eight-point deficit with 8:29 remaining.

Nicholas West's tip shot sparked a 10-0 run pushing Alabama A&M ahead 59-57 with 2:53 left. The game was tied twice before Jeremy Crutcher's free throw put the Bulldogs ahead 62-61.

Davon Usher, who finished with 18 points, hit a 3-pointer to give the Delta Devils (3-17, 3-7) the lead with 31 seconds left.

After Tabb's layup and free throw. Darius Tomlin missed a layup with 2 seconds left, but MVSU got the offensive rebound. Tabb stole the ball from Blake Ralling to seal the win.
