The 2012 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am will be the first American stop on the PGA Tour for Tiger Woods. He is paired with Dallas Cowboys' quarterback Tony Romo in what will be a fun tournament for fans and participants like.
Here's a look at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am schedule.
Practice rounds happen on Monday, Feb. 6 on all three courses at the famous Pebble Beach Resort south of San Francisco. Unlike regular PGA Tour events, this one features three of the best golf courses in California. Some holes are literally right on the ocean as breakers crash mere feet away from bunkers surrounding greens.
Feb. 7, Charity Day
On Tuesday, Feb. 7, the focus of the practice rounds is on "Charity Day." The Pebble Beach Pro-Am specializes in donating millions of dollars to charities every year and 2012 will be no exception. The San Francisco Giants and San Francisco 49ers will square off in a $100,000 charity game. Starting at 1:30 p.m., the two sides will rumble at the Pebble Beach Golf Links.
Feb. 8, Celebrity Day and Military Day
On Wednesday, Feb. 8, celebrities will be the ones raising money as several stars and non-professional golfers will compete in the 3M Celebrity Challenge. The five-hole round begins at 11 a.m. with such personalities as sportscaster Chris Berman, comedian Ray Romano and the always hilarious Bill Murray. No Pebble Beach Pro-Am would be complete without Murray of "Caddyshack" fame. He is actually the defending champion from last year.
Wednesday is also Military Day. Members of U.S. Armed Forces, police and fire departments have the opportunity to see the practice rounds for free. All you have to do is show your active military ID or department badge. Personnel can bring one guest for free as well.
