Winners and losers:

Super Bowl trophy was missing in action for a while

The SportsXchange

After winning the Lombardi Trophy on Sunday night that goes to the Super Bowl champion, the Baltimore Ravens apparently lost track of it.

When the Ravens went to owner Steve Bisciotti's postgame celebration in New Orleans, the silver trophy wasn't with them. Or at least they weren't aware of its presence.

It "didn't make it to the party," Kevin Byrne, the Ravens' vice president of communications, told The Washington Post.

No worries. It wasn't lost, after all. It showed up Monday morning. Safe and sound.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh even joked about it at his news conference.

"We hadn't seen this since last night," he said. We thought we'd lost it."

Apparently, it was in the hands of a security person all along. The team probably was too busy partying to worry about a trophy after an exciting 34-31 victory over San Francisco. Unlike the Stanley Cup, you can't drink out of it.

But when the Ravens boarded their flight back to Baltimore on Monday afternoon, the trophy was in their possession. Safe and sound.
