NEW YORK (AP) -- Strike Accord snapped an 11-race losing streak with a 1¼-length victory over Take It Inside on Wednesday in the $87,000 allowance feature for New York-bred fillies and mares at Belmont Park.
Winning for only the second time in 19 tries, Strike Accord snared her first victory since June of last year at Belmont. Junior Alvarado was aboard the 4-year-old trained by John Kimmel. She paid $9.90, $5.20 and $2.80.
Take It Inside returned $8.20 and $5.40, and Miz Owell paid $3.20 to show.
The time was 1:42.31 for 1 1/16 miles on the firm course.
