Stephen Curry's 32 sparks Warriors over Timberwolves

Stephen Curry finished with 32 points and recorded 15 assists, while David Lee added 25 points and nine rebounds to lead the Golden State Warriors to a victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves, 130-120. The Warriors shot 49-101 (48.5%) from the field and dominated the offensive glass, pulling down 19 boards. Golden State (50-31) picked up the win after falling to Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.

Curry finished 10-21 from the field (7-13 on 3-point attempts) in a solid outing. He tallied five rebounds and three steals as well. Draymond Green also chipped in for Golden State, finishing with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Kevin Love had another big game for Minnesota in the loss, scoring 40 points on 11-24 shooting (5-9 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 13-16 from the free throw line. He also tallied 14 rebounds and nine assists. Ricky Rubio contributed 15 points and eight assists and Gorgui Dieng finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Along with their eFG% of 55.9%, the Warriors connected at a rate of 40.5% from 3-point range. On the season, they are 16-4 when they record marks above 55% and 40% in those respective categories. Conversely, the Timberwolves are 2-16 when allowing their opponents to reach those percentages.

This drops Minnesota (40-41) to 1-2 versus Golden State on the season.

Coming up next, the Warriors play the Denver Nuggets, who are 36-45 on the year. The Timberwolves go up against the Utah Jazz, currently 24-57 this season. The Warriors lost to Denver the last two times they've played. The Timberwolves have been victorious in their last three games against Utah.
