Recommendation: Curry was immediately removed from the game after having his right ankle stepped on by Portland's Wesley Matthews, but appeared to better after stretching it out on the sidelines. Coach Mark Jackson said Curry lobbied to be put back in the game, but Jackson quickly shut that notion down. Curry tweeted that the "ankle will be fine" and that he's on his way with the team to Los Angeles. Jackson said Curry has not been ruled out of Monday's preseason game against the Clippers.
Update: Curry, who was removed from Friday night's game after injuring his right ankle, will not need an MRI, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
