Automated Insights

Stephen Curry finished with 34 points and added 9 assists to lead the Golden State Warriors to a victory over the Chicago Bulls, 102-87. The Warriors had a strong shooting performance in this one, going 40-83 (48.2%) from the field, including 11-22 (50.0%) from three-point range. Golden State (30-20) gets one in the win column after losing to Charlotte on Tuesday.

Curry went 13-19 (4-6 from three-point range) in an efficient offensive performance. Golden State also got solid performances from Jordan Crawford with 11 points and 5 rebounds, and Harrison Barnes with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Taj Gibson had a strong performance for Chicago despite the loss, putting up 26 points on 9-23 shooting from the field and 8-8 from the free throw line. He also registered 13 rebounds. Jimmy Butler contributed 14 points and 9 rebounds.

As expected, the Bulls offense did not have its best game, struggling to make shots against a Warriors defense that ranks second-best in the league at forcing misses (47.5% opponents' eFG%). After finishing with an eFG% of 44.2% in this game, they rank 30th in the NBA in that metric at 45.8% this season. The Bulls posted an eFG% of just 44.2%, including 28.6% from 3-point range. This year, they are 3-10 when they record marks below 45% and 30% in those respective categories. On the other hand, the Warriors are 13-2 when holding their opponents to such low percentages.

Chicago (24-25) could not get back-to-back victories after defeating Phoenix on Tuesday.

Coming up next, the Warriors battle the Phoenix Suns, who are 29-20 on the year. The Bulls go up against the Los Angeles Lakers, currently 17-32 this season. The Warriors are 1-1 versus Phoenix this season. The Bulls have a 1-0 record against Los Angeles this season.
