Stefen Romero: (Oblique) Out Indefinitely

Rotowire.com
Update: Romero will be out of action indefinitely after injuring his oblique Friday, the Seattle Times reports.

Recommendation: Romero homered twice Thursday, including a grand slam, and then fell victim to the oblique Friday. The only prescription is rest. "I'll take it week by week, see how it feels," he said. Romero was the organization's minor league player of the year last season, hitting a combined .352 with High-A High Desert and Double-A Jackson with 64 extra-base hits, including 34 doubles and 23 home runs in 116 games. In addition to his primary position at second base, he can play third and outfield as well. He wasn't in the mix for a major-league roster spot, but a callup this season wouldn't be out of the question.
