The Pittsburgh Steelers signed veteran free agent offensive tackle Guy Whimper and undrafted rookie free agent linebacker Terence Garvin to contracts on Monday.
Whimper was a fourth-round draft pick in 2006 by the New York Giants, and was a part of their Super Bowl XLII Championship team. He played for the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2010-12.
Garvin went undrafted out of West Virginia University in 2013 and attended the Steelers' rookie mini-camp on a tryout.
To make room on the roster, the team released center Ivory Wade and defensive tackle Anthony Rashad White.
