Steelers Take Down Bengals, 42-21
The Cincinnati defense had no answer for Le'Veon Bell as he led the way to a blowout win for the Steelers over the Bengals, 42-21, at Paul Brown Stadium.
Ben Roethlisberger tore apart the Bengals for three scores on 25 of 39 passing for 350 yards and no interceptions. Andy Dalton did what he could to keep the Bengals in the game, going 21 of 29 with 302 yards passing, three touchdowns (2 pass, 1 rush) and one fumble.
Bell ran all over the Bengals for 185 yards on 26 attempts with two touchdowns in addition to six receptions for 50 yards and another score. Martavis Bryant was a weapon for the offense, catching four passes for 109 yards with a touchdown.
The Pittsburgh defense managed to contain the running game, but could not slow down the passing attack, giving up 86 yards rushing and 327 passing. They brought down Dalton for three sacks.
Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green gave a standout effort with 224 receiving yards and one touchdown. Tight end Jermaine Gresham also had a noteworthy performance with 23 receiving yards and one touchdown.
The Steelers travel to Atlanta next week to meet the Falcons (5-7) while the Bengals visit Cleveland to take on the Browns (7-5).
