The Dallas Stars assigned defenseman Joe Morrow and forward Reilly Smith to the AHL Texas Stars on Tuesday. Both played in Texas' 7-6 victory over the Houston Aeros Tuesday night.
Morrow joined the Stars organization on Sunday when he was traded from Pittsburgh for Brenden Morrow. The acquisition also involved future draft picks being sent to Dallas.
The 20-year-old Morrow had 15 points in 57 games for Pittsburgh's AHL affiliate, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. In his debut with Texas on Tuesday he recorded two assists.
Smith, 21, has six points in 28 games with Dallas this season. He returned to the AHL Stars, where he has 12 goals, including a tally in Tuesday night's win over Houston.
