Stars list Seguin as day to day

Dallas Stars center Tyler Seguin is day to day with concussion-like symptoms that resulted from a hit during a 2-1 shootout loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday night.

Seguin, who missed Sunday's game against the Edmonton Oilers, also is dealing with a muscle issue, Stars coach Lindy Ruff said Monday.

"Earlier in the week he had a little bit of a muscle strain that we kept him off the ice for. These two incidents aren't related," Ruff said. "It was just a hit that didn't seem like too much, but just caught him right and he wasn't feeling good the next morning.

"We went through the (concussion) protocol this morning with our doctor coming in and doing the testing on him and ruling him out. As soon as he feels better, can exercise and the symptoms go away, he'll be back getting ready to play."

Seguin will be with the team on its upcoming road trip to Chicago and Toronto.

In his first year with the Stars after an offseason trade with the Boston Bruins, Seguin leads Dallas with 12 goals and has 23 points in 24 games.
