Stanford gets Anderson, Cajuste back for Oregon game

Stanford will get defensive end Henry Anderson and wide receiver Devon Cajuste back for Thursday's game against No. 2 Oregon, Cardinal head coach David Shaw said on Monday.

Anderson, a second-team all-Pac-12 selection last season, has not played since injuring his leg in the second game of the season against Army.

The return of Anderson somewhat counteracts the loss of Stanford's other starting defensive end, Ben Gardner, who is out for the rest of the season after tearing a pectoral muscle in the Oct. 26 victory over Oregon State.

The concern with Anderson is conditioning.

"I don't know if he can go 65 or 70 plays," Shaw said.

Cajuste missed the Oregon State game with a knee injury suffered the previous week against UCLA. He is the team's second-leading receiver with 21 catches for 377 yards and four touchdowns.

No. 5 Stanford hosts Oregon on Thursday in a game critical to both teams' national title hopes.
