Zac Stacy had a big day, paving the way to a sound victory for the Rams over the Saints, 27-16, at home.
Kellen Clemens accounted for two scores against the Saints on 14 of 20 passing for 158 yards and no interceptions. On the Saints side, Drew Brees went 39 for 56 with 393 yards passing, two touchdowns (1 pass, 1 rush), two picks and one fumble.
Stacy ran all over the Saints for 133 yards on 28 attempts with a touchdown in addition to one reception for 10 yards. In the second quarter, he found a seam for a 40-yard score. Cory Harkey caught three passes for 29 yards with a touchdown.
The St. Louis defensive unit led the way to a victory, allowing 61 yards rushing and 393 passing. They terrorized Brees and the Saints offensive line with four sacks.
Saints wide receiver Marques Colston gave a standout effort with 92 receiving yards and one touchdown. Wide receiver Lance Moore had a good game as well with 78 receiving yards.
The Rams will play host to the Buccaneers (4-10) next week while the Saints head to Charlotte to face off with the Panthers (10-4).
