Other top contributors for San Antonio included Kawhi Leonard with 15 points and 5 rebounds, and Tim Duncan with 12 points and 8 rebounds. On 7-16 shooting, Brian Roberts put up 18 points off the bench for New Orleans in the loss.
In addition to 25.0% from 3-point range, the Pelicans tallied an eFG% of just 41.4%. They are 1-8 on the season when registering marks below 30% and 45%, respectively, in those statistics. The Spurs, conversely, are undefeated (15-0) when holding the opposition to such dismal shooting numbers.
This defeat means an end to a five-game winning streak for New Orleans, pushing their record to 32-41 for the year.
