Spurs win 15th straight, edge Nuggets

Tim Duncan scored 29 points and added 13 rebounds, his 29th double-double of the season, to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a close victory over the Denver Nuggets, 108-103. San Antonio (55-16) has now won 15 in a row, dating back to a 120-110 victory over the Detroit Pistons on February 26th.

Duncan finished 12-20 from the field and 5-6 from the free throw line, in an efficient offensive performance. Other top contributors for San Antonio included Manu Ginobili with 10 points and 7 assists, and Tony Parker with 10 points and 6 assists. Aaron Brooks had a strong performance off the bench for Denver in the loss, putting up 25 points on 9-18 shooting, including 4-6 from behind the arc. He also tallied 8 assists and 5 rebounds. Kenneth Faried chipped in 24 points and 10 rebounds and Timofey Mozgov finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

This drops Denver (32-40) to 0-2 versus San Antonio on the season.

The Spurs battle the Nuggets again in their next game.
