Spurs re-sign Bonner to one-year deal

The SportsXchange

San Antonio Spurs forward Matt Bonner signed a one-year, $1.448 million, veteran's minimum deal.

The defending champions are likely to bring back all 14 players on their NBA Finals roster. Only restricted free agent Aron Bynes is unsigned. The Spurs own refusal rights with the option to match any offer sheet another team would extend Bynes.

Bonner said via Twitter he was "super thrilled" to return to the Spurs.

The 34-year-old was a second-round pick of the Chicago Bulls in 2003, but began his pro career in Italy. Toronto signed Bonner in 2005 before he joined the Spurs in 2006.

Bonner was also a member of the 2007 NBA championship team in San Antonio and is a career 41.7 percent 3-point shooter.
