LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) -- Addison Spruill went 4-for- 4 from the free throw line and scored six points in the final 28 seconds as UNC-Wilmington held off Liberty 87-76 Monday night.
After John Caleb Sanders hit a pair of free throws to pull Liberty (1-3) within five 79-74 with 31 seconds left, the Flames fouled Spruill, who knocked down two from the stripe. After the teams exchanged two more free throws each, Marshall missed a 3-point shot which was rebounded by Spruill.
His ensuing layup put the Seahawks up 85-76 with 10 seconds to play, sealing the win.
Marshall led the Flames with 24 points.
Tanner Milson scored 23 points, hitting 5 of 7 3-pointers and 8 of 9 free throws, for UNCW (3-2). Ben Eblen added 13 points and Cedrick Williams finished with 10.
