Sporting Kansas City's slow start to its title defense continued on Saturday as the club let in another late goal to end up settling for a 1-1 draw with FC Dallas.
Aurélien Collin put the home side into the lead with just over 10 minutes to play, heading home a Benny Feilhaber corner and giving Sporting Kansas City its first lead of the year.
But after conceding late in a loss to Seattle to open the season, Sporting stayed true to form, giving up another late goal to end its second match with a draw.
Matt Hedges was the unlikely hero for the visiting team, nodding home the leveler to answer Collin's goal and give his team a share of the spoils.
