Here Are the Spoilers For This Week's "WWE Smackdown"

Check out all of the spoilers from the October 8, 2015 edition of 'WWE Smackdown.'

Over the weekend, the WWE broadcasted a house show from Madison Square Garden for the free. If you've seen a non-televised WWE show before, you won't see too much that's "new," but it does feature Brock Lesnar whupping on Big Show. So basically if you want to see Brock Lesnar whup on someone, watch that before this week's Smackdown.

I say that because Lesnar's not on this show. The WWE did tape Smackdown last night at the Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia, PA, and it does feature some main attractions... and by main attractions, I mean The New Day was on it.

Pardon me for loving the best thing about WWE TV today.

In any case, here are the spoilers for this week's Smackdown, which airs on October 8, 2015:

  • The New Day opened the show and because they were in Philly, they dogged the Eagles. They said they dominated all of the competition at WWE, which drew out Dolph Ziggler, who said they blocked him from getting a U.S. Championship match with John Cena (tying perfectly into the end of this week's Raw). Ziggler then threw a challenge to Dolph, which lead to the Dudleys coming out and saying they'll make sure the match is fair.

  • Big E defeated Bubba Ray Dudley with help from Kofi Kingston

  • Becky Lynch, Natalya, and Charlotte defeated Team Bella

  • Ryback defeated Rusev (word is Kevin Owens was on commentary)

  • The Wyatt Family cut a promo on the Bray Wyatt versus Roman Reigns Hell in a Cell match

  • King Barrett defeated Neville

  • Stardust then came out and cut a promo on Neville

  • Randy Orton and Roman Reigns defeated Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman via disqualification when Bray used a foreign object (or as the WCW used to call it, an "international object"). The New Day then came out to attack Roman post-match, which of course brought out The Dudleys. This all lead to Xavier Woods getting put through a table by the Dudleys...again.

So, yeah, no new developments for the upcoming Hell in a Cell event, but I will say this: a dope John Cena versus Dolph Ziggler feud should be built for whenever Cena returns from his hiatus. Humor me for a bit. If Cena is in fact taking time off, he has to lose that U.S. Championship at some point, right? Ziggler is obviously pulling for that match—we saw him officially call for it tonight—and would be the perfect competitor to win it, no?

Now, I imagine many of you don't watch WWE's E! show Total Divas, but on their season finale they had an entire storyline bringing up Nikki Bella's previous relationship with Dolph Ziggler. For those of you who are unaware, Cena is dating Nikki Bella IRL, and one of the biggest over-arching stories on that reality show is how Nikki has bouts of marriage AND baby fever, and the previously-married Cena is like "I love you frfr, but I'm not trying to get married or have kids." Ziggler's big thing was "I know I didn't want kids and marriage back then, but I'm different now, I can give you that," and Nikki kind of being like "wtf fam?!?!?!"

Still with me? OK so word just hit this week that the fifth season of Total Divas is set to return in "early 2016." Now, my fantasy (rasslin') booking features Cena losing the title to Dolph at Hell in a Cell, and Dolph spending the next few months—while Cena is away—trying to woo Nikki. "Oh, girl, I took your belt from your man, some day I might take you as well," and when Cena returns in late 2015/early 2016, you have a ready-made storyline that not only feeds into the reality TV show that's pulling in over a million viewers, but would give Cena an opponent (and a title program) waiting for him. This would also give Nikki Bella a non-#DivasRevolution storyline, and tie a bunch of these seemingly-different WWE worlds together.

I'm not saying instant 2016 Match of the Year candidates, but we know these two can go. Why not let that shit rock?

OK, sorry for the fantastical mental diarrhea; that's Smackdown for you, which included none of that amazing booking I just gave you. Hey, at least The New Day bookended the show.
