Spain to face Ukraine in Euro 2016 qualifiers

Goal.com

Defending champion Spain will face Ukraine in the qualifying stage of the 2016 European Championships.

The Euro 2012 winners were drawn with the previous competition's hosts in Sunday's draw for the qualifying stage in Nice, France, while they will also face Slovakia, Belarus, Macedonia and Luxembourg.

Host nation France was added to Group I after the draw in order for it to secure competitive international friendlies during the course of qualification, meaning it will come up against the likes of Portugal and Denmark twice each before the finals begin June 10, 2016.

The first games of the qualifying stage will be played Sept. 7-9.
