KATY, Texas (AP) -- Brandon Fortenberry scored 18 points, leading five players in double figures, as Southeastern Louisiana beat McNeese State 85-65 on Thursday in the Southland Conference quarterfinals.
Southeastern Louisiana (13-17) led 53-36 at halftime. The Lions shot 55.8 percent from the field for the game, while the eighth-seeded Cowboys shot 42.9 percent. The Lions outrebounded the Cowboys 34-27.
Desharick Guidry led McNeese State (14-17) with 16 points. Craig McFerrin scored 15 points and had a team-high nine rebounds. Dontae Cannon added 10 points.
Southeastern Louisiana will play top-seeded Stephen F. Austin on Friday in the semifinals.
