CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) -- Tyler Stone scored 27 points and Southeast Missouri earned its first Ohio Valley Conference win with a 102-94 triumph over Tennessee State on Saturday night.
Southeast Missouri (9-8, 1-3) shot 65 percent from the field and led by as many as 20 before Tennessee State (2-16, 1-3) went on a late run. The Tigers came within 98-94 on two made free throws from Jacquan Nobles with 33 seconds remaining. With Tennessee State in a full-court press, a long inbound pass over the defense to Josh Langford was good for a layup to extend the lead to 100-94 and the Redhawks held on.
