The Little League World Series is one of the most fun baseball events of the year. It’s kids playing baseball, better than most of us can now, or even when we were kids. And they’re all having so much fun, which can sometimes be missing from the grown-up version of the game we all love.

The South Korean team is succeeding on two fronts: baseball and celebrations. East Seoul Little League, the championship team representing Asia-Pacific, hasn’t lost a game yet. They beat the Caribbean team, Pariba LL, 3-0 on Friday, and then destroyed Hastings Community LL (the team representing Canada) 10-0 on Monday. It was at Monday’s game that they showed off their timely and topical celebration.

Yes, those are South Korean children doing the Usain Bolt lightning bolt after one of their teammates walloped a baseball beyond the fence in center field. If you’re going to start using someone else’s celebration, you might as well go for the best. And since Usain Bolt is the fastest man in the world, that’s just what South Korea has done. And you can’t beat their coordination, either! The way they all do the lightning bolt at once is pretty cool looking.

East Seoul Little League has their next game on Wednesday against the Latin America team Aguadulce Cabezera LL. And with all the runs they’ve been scoring and strikeouts they’ve been racking up, they’ll probably have more reasons to celebrate going forward. And that’s just the best. These are kids playing baseball — they should be celebrating!
