VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) -- Tavian Pomlee led eight players in double figures with 16 points as South Dakota survived an early scare by NAIA Graceland University, eventually pulling away handily in a 112-85 win Saturday.
South Dakota (2-3) shot 57.5 percent from the floor and was 13 of 29 from beyond the arc.
Graceland (6-3) was led by Jamal Lawson and Austin Danner, who both finished with 17 points.
The game was tied at 60 after Graceland's Drew Emmert made a pair of free throws at 17:06 of the second half.
But South Dakota's Trey Norris followed that with a 3-pointer - spurring a 32-9 run - including six Coyotes 3-pointers, three by Casey Kasperbauer.
Graceland went on a little 12-6 run of its own to bring it back under 20, but South Dakota proved to be too much in the end.
